Project Lancashire - Leyland

Starting in early 2007 with some initial site preparation and highway works, Kiernan undertook an 80,000m2 cut and fill excercise, and major drainage and service diversions to prepare the site for construction.

Once on site Kiernan undertook the foundations and reinforced concrete structures to three specialist waste processing buildings. Works consisted of insitu concrete bases and ground beams, reinforced concrete pits, sumps and basements, reinforced concrete walls.

Kiernan also supplied and installed pre-cast beams and wall units manufactured by our sister company Rowan Pre-cast.


Project Lancashire - Thornton Cleveleys

Complementing the works undertaken on the Project Lancashire project in Leyland, Kiernan have also been involved in numerous packages on this sister project on the Fylde coast.

Kiernan have undertaken a number of packages on this project consisting of enabling works for the site, car park works, foundations for some of the buildings and external structures and latterly are involved in a 40,000m3 cut and fill package to profile the external works and landscaped mounds.
